Emma “Em” Forgione is a New York based writer and journalist. She holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from Columbia University. Here, she produced a long-form capstone story on the links between online therapy apps, access to mental healthcare, and mental health content on social media.

Before attending graduate school, she was a beat reporter for American Theatre magazine. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre and English Literature from Muhlenberg College.

In addition to writing, she is experienced with other forms of multimedia storytelling, such as video production and podcasting. She has a wide range of reporting interests, including mental health, digital culture, human rights, the links between entertainment and business, and more.
